How do I keep up with Bloomz messages?
In Bloomz, pick Email, Push or Email Digest under Account, then Notifications.
In Bloomz, choose Account, then Notifications, and under Get notifications via pick Email, Push or Email Digest, then Save. You can also copy your Bloomz calendar link and add it to the calendar you already use (step 4). Bloomz says the link is personal: anyone who has it can read your calendar, so don't post it anywhere public or forward it to others.
Choose Email in Bloomz's notification settings, and Daywell reads those emails. For a Bloomz post that only reaches you as a phone alert, take a screenshot and share it to Daywell from your phone, or add it in Daywell on the web.
What to do
- Choose how Bloomz reaches you. In Bloomz, choose Account, then Notifications, and under Get notifications via pick Email, Push or Email Digest, then Save. Email Digest gathers the day's updates into one email instead of one message each time; Email sends each one as it happens.
- Set Quiet Hours if you want them. Bloomz says Quiet Hours hold notifications until afterwards, but emergency alerts and school Alerts still reach you.
- Expect a text after the email, sometimes. Bloomz says that where a school has Intelligent Notifications on, it delivers by push and email first and follows up by SMS or voice call after a delay, only if you have not opened the notification.
- Add your Bloomz calendar to the calendar you use. In Bloomz, open the Calendar, select the sync icon to open the Calendar Subscription sheet, and copy your personal link. Bloomz says your Bloomz calendar can appear in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or any other app that accepts a calendar subscription link. Bloomz says the link is personal: anyone who has it can read your calendar, so don't post it anywhere public or forward it to others.
- File the emails with the school's. In Gmail, make a filter for your school, daycare and activity senders and have it label them "School". Add the Bloomz sender to it. Choose Skip the Inbox (Archive it) only if you'll open that label every day.
- Read the label once a day. For each email, pull out three things: the date, the ask (bring, sign or pay), and which child it's for.
How Daywell helps
Daywell, the family prep assistant, does that reading and list-making for you. Connect Gmail once, read-only. Daywell looks at email and picks out the messages from school, daycare and activities. You get one list of what's coming up, which child it's for, and what to bring, sign or pay, like "Maya: field trip form, sign by Wednesday". On the iPhone and Android apps, one quiet reminder comes each morning, at a time you pick. Invite a partner and you both see the same list.
Questions parents ask

Will I still get urgent Bloomz alerts?
Yes, school Alerts reach you whatever you choose.

Why did a text arrive after the email?

How do I stop Bloomz buzzing at night?

How do I see my Bloomz events in my own calendar?
Copy your personal link into your calendar app.
Bloomz says your Bloomz calendar can appear in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or any other app that accepts a calendar subscription link. In Bloomz, open the Calendar, select the sync icon to open the Calendar Subscription sheet, and copy your personal link. Bloomz says the link is personal: anyone who has it can read your calendar, so don't post it anywhere public or forward it to others.
The calendar in my phone is missing a new event.
Give it time to refresh.
Bloomz says your calendar app refreshes the link on its own schedule, so a brand-new event may take a while to appear. Bloomz says the link carries the events you can see in Bloomz and covers the current school year by default.
A Bloomz post has a PDF or a flyer. What do I do?
Share a screenshot of it to Daywell.

Does Daywell read all of my email?
No. It starts with who it's from and the subject.
No. It looks only at who each email is from and its subject, and skips what Gmail files under Promotions, Social and Forums. It opens the ones it judges to be from school, daycare or activities. If it can't tell from the sender and subject, it opens that one too rather than risk missing it. The privacy policy explains what is kept and for how long.
How do I get Daywell?
Start on the web.
Daywell is on the web. Start at getdaywell.com. It reads your school and activity email and tells you what your kids need ready.
