Daywell, in plain facts
What Daywell is
Daywell (getdaywell.com) is the family prep assistant. It reads what school, daycare and activities send a parent and turns it into one calm list of what to have ready, and when.
It's for busy parents keeping up with school, daycare and after-school activities, often for more than one kid.
How it finds what matters
- Connect Gmail once, read-only. Daywell looks at your recent email, usually the last 10 days, and picks out the messages from school, daycare and activities.
- Not on Gmail? Forward school emails to your own Daywell address, one at a time or automatically.
- Snap a flyer, or share a screenshot, a PDF or a copied text message, and Daywell reads it.
- Paste a team or school calendar link once, and Daywell keeps those events up to date.
- Connect a GroupMe group and Daywell picks up the events posted there, and what to bring from the group's messages in the two days before each event.
- Daywell uses Anthropic's Claude to read the emails that matter and pull out what to have ready.
What you get
- One list of what's coming up, which child it's for, and what to bring, sign or pay.
- On the iPhone and Android apps, one quiet reminder comes each morning, at a time you pick.
- Invite a partner and you both see the same list.
Works with
Your Gmail, and any inbox you forward school emails from. School apps such as ParentSquare and Remind once you turn on their emails. Team apps such as TeamSnap and GameChanger through their calendar link. For messages that only reach you as phone alerts, share the post or a screenshot to Daywell.
Good to know
- With any email service, forward school emails to your Daywell address and Daywell reads them.
- Share a PDF or a picture to Daywell and it reads it, on every device.
- It doesn't sign in to school portals or apps. It reads the emails they send.
- It's in invite-only early access.
Privacy, plainly
- Gmail access is read-only. Daywell can't send, delete or change anything.
- To decide which emails matter, Daywell uses only the sender and subject line. Only emails about school, daycare or activities are read in full.
- Those emails pass through Anthropic's Claude to find the to-dos. Anthropic does not train on them, and Daywell does not keep the emails, except one you forward yourself that turns up nothing, for up to 7 days so Felix can read it again.
- Daywell keeps the to-dos it finds, with the sender, subject, date and a few sentences of the email, never your inbox. An email you forward yourself that turns up nothing is kept for up to 7 days so Felix can read it again, then deleted.
- No ads, and your data is never sold.
- You can delete your account and everything Daywell holds, any time.
