James Boone

James Boone started Daywell, the family prep assistant, after sending one of his kids to school on pajama day without pajamas.

He and his wife are both working parents with demanding jobs. Their two kids are in two different places, one in daycare and one in first grade, with after-school care every day. Between weekly school newsletters, soccer practices and games, spirit days and library book days, keeping both parents on top of it meant one of them building a shared calendar by hand, and things still got missed.

James has spent more than 15 years in Silicon Valley tech, from helping small businesses to working with some of the largest mobile companies. He has been a software engineer, led solution engineering teams and worked across marketing.
